The plan, pain, purpose, and privilege of not fitting

When you don’t fit the mold of the world around you, there is a quiet ache in not fitting.

It shows up in rooms where your presence feels out of rhythm. In conversations where your thoughts arrive from a place others haven’t traveled. And in that lingering question: “Why am I like this?”

The world answers quickly. It is because you are some kind of TOO.

Too much.
Too intense.
Too different.
Too inconvenient.

How easily the world offers you a mold and calls it belonging. And when you don’t fit, it punishes you with a pain almost too hard to stand.

When the world is too hard to stand? Kneel!

The world around you may be quick to dismiss, quick to chastise, quick to criticize, quick to blame and quick to accuse.

But that is because there is tHis truth, the world tries to cover up. A truth so much older and wiser, than the world’s fluctuating opinions:

You were not mass-produced.

You were authored.

You were designed, cherished, built and appointed by an omnipotent, all-knowing Creator who does not repeat Himself.

The One who shaped mountains without copying a single ridge!

He,
who formed oceans without duplicating a wave!

Our God, the Creator of the Universe and everything in it.

He is the same Author who formed you.

And He did not begin with expectation.

He began with love.

You are loved.
Not because you fit.
Not because you prove.

But because He chose to form you at all. And from that place, everything else unfolds.

You are designed.

With intention, not accident.
With detail, not randomness.

You are appointed.

Placed within time, not outside of it.
Not early, not late… but within a story already in motion.

As written in the Book of Ecclesiastes,
“There is a season for everything under Heaven. ~ A time to build. A time to uproot. ~ A time to begin.”, and a time to be prepared.

You are assigned.

Not just to exist, but to participate.
To notice what is out of alignment
and respond with truth, discipline, and restoration.

You are timed.

Because not everything that is true for you is meant to be released immediately.

Some blueprints are given early
so they can be carried faithfully
until the season catches up.

So when you don’t fit, it may not be because you are wrong…

It may be because:

You are loved beyond approval.
You are designed beyond conformity.
You are appointed beyond the present moment.
You are assigned beyond passive belonging.
You are timed beyond your own urgency.
The tension you feel is not meaningless.

It is the space between what is
and what you were shaped to recognize.

So don’t rush to shrink yourself into something more acceptable, from a world that has lost its rooting.

Anchor.
Pay attention.
And ask:

“Am I in the wrong place… or simply the wrong season?”

Because the Author who formed you
has not misplaced you. He is building something. And the life that feels out of place today may be the very piece
that fits perfectly when the season turns.

Stop forcing belonging to a world that doesn’t care to understand.

Like Noah, put your faith in God’s provision and protection. He built you with a purpose. Embrace your different and start preparing for alignment with the One on whose time and by whose plan everything prospers.

Let everything, that has breath Praise the Lord

Praise the Lord
